reflecting. briefly.

this time last year, i was in scotland.

on this exact day, i took this picture:
i set the camera on a stone ledge, propped up slightly with the wrist strap, and used the self timer. i think i did 3 or 4 takes before i got it right.
i was filled with excitement. and uncertainty. i'd only been there 10 days, and this was my first time leaving Glasgow for the weekend.

i just spent the past little while looking at my pictures as a study break. particularly the ones of beaches, hills and joyful escapades into the unknown. so much peace.....

jan 28. 2013. one year later, i spend this day in Guelph. trying to focus on school work - worked my shift this morning at the library, spent the past few hours making study notes for my first midterm of the semester (on thursday).

so much of my life is different. some things are the same. i'm less excited, but probably just as uncertain - even amidst familiarity. school is tiring. i'm tired.

that's all for now. back to the books.

I shall pray this week for your midterms.
Could you send me a private email address

What job are you doing in the library?

I have been doing some family history.

It would be nice to share some of it with you
